2013 was full of projects. Projects that took much of my time away from one of the things I enjoy most…creating art and jewelry. How could I have let this happen? Easy, life gets in the way of fun. Am I right? Yeah, you know what I’m talking about.
So you might say this is my debut for 2014, and with it I hope to re-energize my business and my passion. My New Year’s resolution to you is to create new and interesting things, and to keep my prices at a level everyone can afford.
Oh, and I’ve found a new way to showcase my watercolor prints this year! They are copies of my originals permanently decoupaged onto tiles and protected from the elements. I’m excited to show them off, and to offer them for sale on my website, and at various events throughout the year. As we speak I have several pieces sitting on the floor in my workshop (a.k.a. my living room). From tiles you can hang, to coasters and trivets you can use for every day, I think you’ll find these new goodies enjoyable to look at and functional to use.
For those of you who may frequent the Yakima Valley and the many wineries and tasting rooms, I will be at several special events there this spring, summer and fall. The beginning of the season in wine country starts with Red Wine and Chocolate over President’s Day weekend, February 15-17.
This year I have decided to showcase my creations at Claar Cellars, and to be around on event weekends in person as time allows. That way I can visit with all of you about my art, while my sister and I introduce you to some great wines from Claar made in the tradition of old European wines.
I look forward to seeing you, and if you can’t come to Claar, don’t forget to check my events page for the dates and times of all of my upcoming events in Oregon and Washington. And just for visiting my site and reading my blog I am offering a 15% discount to anyone who mentions my website and current blog at any event you are able to visit.
Fino a quando ci incontriamo (until we meet)…Ciao,
